Meet Cooper! This cutie came to see me at three weeks old. This age is sometimes seen as past prime time for newborn photos, but it is completely doable! It is never too late to get pictures of your sweet, snuggly baby. Here a couple tips to help your older newborn session be successful:
1. Be Patient
It may take longer for your baby to fall into a deep sleep - that's ok! Your photographer expects newborn sessions to take a couple hours and is used to being on a baby's schedule. Try not to stress if baby won't sleep. The more relaxed you are, the more relaxed baby will be.
2. Come Prepared
Like all newborn sessions, come prepared to feed your baby if needed. I like to have mom feed baby when they arrive at the session, but sometimes we stop and feed in the middle as well.

3. Time it Right
Parents usually can tell what time of day is best for photos with their new baby. Try and time your session during that window and keep them awake for an hour or so before that time. That way baby will come to the session ready to eat and take a good nap.
If you missed the newborn window all together and still want baby photos, don't worry! Take a peek at this adorable three month session.
